We don't typically get the boys hair cut on a regular basis. Well, we do, but it is every few months. Today was that day. We thought that if we bribed with the promise of ice cream, it wouldn't be a challenge. Boy howdy were we wrong!
Nate flipped OUT! We should have known that when he stopped dead in his tracks at the door of the salon it wouldn't be a fun time. We had to push him into the place. It was raining and I didn't feel like getting V and I soaked.
Then the screaming began. It was a children's salon, t.v.'s, video games, cartoons, movies. Did any of that keep him occupied? NOPE.
Poor Eric literally had to restrain him in the chair. It has a buckle on it, but Nate was pushing back so hard we were scared he would push the chair over and he almost did! I am truly shocked that he doesn't have bruises on his arms. He didn't start freaking out until the cut had begun, so that is why we continued with it.
So after he went insane and acted possessed for a while, he was fine. He was done, breathing heavy and the stylist said "What do you want? A cookie? A lollipop? A toy?"
Nate's response "ICE CREAM!" "Vanilla" (all said while panting and trying to catch his breath)
At least we are done for the next couple of months! Maybe one day he will sit still long enough to get a normal haircut.
So. It has been pointed out that I have not updated this since October of last year.
OOPS.
Like I said i stink at this, but I plan on getting better here...maybe.
Since the last time I wrote, we now have three kiddos, hence the name change. The boys really accept her nicely. We never had that whole "I don't want her phase." Nate is slightly obsessed with her. Every time I have her or he sees her he runs up and says "Baby Veronica ok?" It is cute, but tiring always answering the same question.
This is how it goes:
N: "Baby Veronica ok?"
Me: "Yes, Nate. She is ok."
N: "Oh."
Then there is the issue of her eating. She is breastfed. Neither boy EVER took a bottle, so I decided not to push the issue with her. Well, honestly, I never even tried. Just one year out of my life. I am around anyway, so why not?
According to Aidan though the brown thing on my tummy is gross. Lovely huh? Way to make you feel good! And Nate knows that "Baby Veronica eat baby food"
But today we had a Cheese-it issue. Nate shoved one in her mouth, Baby Veronica does not like cheese-its. Thanks Nate.
So from this day forward I vow to update this blog on a semi regular basis.
My kids are pretty darn cool and everyone needs to know this!

See. I am totally not good at this whole blogging thing. I kind of
stink. I have work and two kiddos. I am not sure why I figured i could
keep up with this silly thing.
Anywho.
Let's
see...you know I am pregnant. But what you don't know is it is a girl!
Woo hoo! Go us! So excited. I finally get to have pink and purple in
my world. We jsut finished decorating the nursery with butterfly
decals. It is rather cute if I do say so myself. I will have to post
pictures once we finally clean the room up.
Anyway. I
have no idea what to say since it has been so long. So I think this one
shall be super short and I will just have to start fresh from here.
Easter
was good this year. There was thing at his preschool with the kids
singing songs and an egg hunt afterwords. We also went to an Easter Egg
hunt at Latta Plantation. Then my dad had an egg hunt on Easter.
Needless to say I won't have to buy plastic eggs for years to come.
Aidan
has spring break this week and it has been tricky trying to find things
to do. We have gone to the park almost EVERY day, played in the back
yard, watched movies, played with blocks, gardened. I have no idea how
we are going to survive the summer. I wish Nate was older so we could go
to a movie. I think he would go bananas in the theater. Aidan saw Shrek
3 when he was younger than Nate, but I think he isn't as crazy.
Luckily
this week my friend came over with her kids and provided some
entertainment for the munchkins. Sprinkler balls are awesome. My
camera is downstairs so I will have to post pics later.
Another
thing that has made this week bearable has been McDonalds. Yup, some
good old HappyMeals to make the kids happy. Nothing calms the savage
beasts like a happy meal with a dragon in it. :) (One day Aidan asked
for a happy Happy Meal. I didn't know there were sad Happy Meals.)
Well that is my update for now.
